Abstract

Un implante degradable, removible y farmacéutico para la liberación sostenida de uno o más fármacos en un sujeto, en donde el implante farmacéutico está compuesto por un tubo que comprende una pared exterior hecha de un polímero degradable que rodea completamente una cavidad, en donde la pared exterior tiene una pluralidad de aberturas y en donde la cavidad contiene uno o más conjuntos de micropartículas, cuyas micropartículas contienen un agente activo o una combinación de dos o más agentes activos, y en donde el tamaño de las micropartículas se selecciona de manera que la mayoría de las micropartículas no pueda pasar por las aberturas.
