Abstract

La presente invención describe sistemas y métodos para separar un alcohol y, particularmente, butanol, de un suministro fermentado y concentrar los residuos de destilación finos en jarabe, en donde los sistemas y métodos incluyen la operación de una o más columnas de destilación de recuperación de alcohol por medio del uso de calor suministrado por vapor generado a partir de la concentración de los residuos de destilación finos en un sistema de evaporación multiefecto de trenes múltiples.
