Abstract
La presente invención está relacionada con la aplicación de resinas poliméricas y resinas poliméricas dopadas con TiO2 como recubrimientos para superficies metálicas externas de uso industrial, principalmente, seleccionando a los siguientes metales: acero inoxidable, acero al carbón y cobre. Específicamente se enfoca en la síntesis de una resina polimérica anticorrosiva base agua, consistente en partículas poliméricas nano-estructuradas formadas con 2 o más monómeros acrílico, vinilico ó estirénico con un agente funcionalizante y un agente entrecruzante de 1.0 a 20 % p. de cada uno. Además se realiza el dopaje de las mismas resinas poliméricas, en las cuales se incorporan nanotubos de dióxido de titanio en concentraciones en el intervalo de 50 a 10,000 ppm. La resina polimérica anticorrosiva base agua es sintetizada mediante técnicas de polimerización en emulsión y es durante el proceso de síntesis que se introduce la carga de nanotubos de dióxido de titanio (los cuales son sintetizados de acuerdo a la patente US 7, 645,439 B2), lo que permite su dispersión en la matriz polimérica. Las dispersiones poliméricas obtenidas de esta manera son utilizadas como recubrimientos anticorrosivos 100% base agua.
