Abstract
Se proporciona un método para la recuperación de sulfuro de hidrógeno y otras fracciones de gas ácido a partir de un gas amargo del emplazamiento del pozo en la producción de hidrocarburo; las fracciones de gas ácido seleccionadas se absorben en una solución de solvente no corrosivo y transportable en el emplazamiento del pozo, la solución rica en solvente se transporta a una ubicación de planta central en donde se libera de la solución de solvente para manejo o procesamiento adicional; la solución de solvente ligero puede entonces reciclarse; múltiples fracciones de gas ácido pueden ser recuperadas del gas amargo en cuestión utilizando una sola solución de solvente apropiada; el dióxido de carbono puede ser absorbido y liberado en el emplazamiento del pozo más que en la ubicación de la planta central; el gas limpio es producido en el emplazamiento del pozo para procesamiento corriente abajo o venta.
