Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un método para limpiar biológicamente aguas residuales (A), el cual comprende las siguientes etapas: proporcionar un estanque de tratamiento (B) que tiene un piso (1) y por lo menos una pared (2) que se extiende desde el piso a una altura de pared (W), que tiene una abertura de entrada (3), y que tiene por lo menos una abertura de descarga (9) en el intervalo de 0 hasta un máximo de 0.5 veces la altura de la pared (W), alimentar las aguas residuales (A) a través de la abertura de entrada (3) al estanque de tratamiento (B), poner las aguas residuales (A) en contacto con microorganismos sembrados en cuerpos de crecimiento sueltos (12) recibidos en el estanque de tratamiento (B), y descargar las aguas residuales (A) por lo menos parcialmente limpias por la acción de los microorganismos del estanque de tratamiento (B) a través de la abertura de descarga (9), en donde los cuerpos de crecimiento (12) son retenidos en el estanque de tratamiento (B).
