Abstract
Se describe un método para determinar el nivel de superficie de un área sometida a irrigación por inundación, por surcos o de superficie. El método incluye los pasos de proporcionar por lo menos una taza de medición colocada por abajo del nivel de superficie pero dentro del área y proporcionar un sensor de nivel de agua dentro de o integrado con al menos una taza de medición. Los niveles provistos por el sensor de nivel de agua se utilizan para calcular el nivel de superficie al determinar el punto de inflexión entre el rápido incremento de los niveles verificados cuando la parte frontal del agua de irrigación pasa el sensor de nivel de agua.
