Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema y método interactivo de operación para definir y evaluar un modelo de un yacimiento de hidrocarburos. El modelo del yacimiento es definido a partir de la información extrínseca tal como los estudios sísmicos, los registros del pozo, y semejantes, y está basado en los elementos de las regiones de la formación, las conexiones entre las regiones, los pozos, y las perforaciones. Un método de elementos de la frontera es utilizado para determinar las respuestas de interferencia de la presión, que corresponden a la presión en una perforación en respuesta a un fluido productor de una sola perforación a una velocidad de flujo unitaria. Estas respuestas de interferencia de la presión son entonces convolucionadas con las velocidades de flujo del pozo medidas, obtenidas durante la producción para llegar a los estimados de la presión del pozo en uno o más pozos de interés. La presión del pozo estimada puede ser comparada con las mediciones de la presión hacia el fondo del pozo para validar el modelo del yacimiento, o para provocar que el usuario modifique el modelo y repita la evaluación del modelo.
