Abstract
Una unidad de procesamiento de imagen (19), que es un dispositivo de ajuste de graduación que corrige la graduación de las imágenes que serán visualizadas en el receptor de televisión (10), es proporcionada con una unidad de corrección de graduación (2), una unidad de evaluación de región intermedia de luminancia (3), una unidad de evaluación de diferencia de luminancia (4a), una unidad de evaluación de valor del umbral de diferencia de luminancia (4b) y una unidad de ajuste de graduación (5). Cuando (1) la diferencia de luminancia después de aplicar la ganancia en los datos de imagen de entrada es más grande que la diferencia de luminancia antes de la aplicación de la ganancia en los datos de imagen de entrada, y (2) la diferencia de luminancia después de la aplicación de la ganancia no es mayor que un valor del umbral, con respecto a los píxeles adyacentes que tienen luminancia, la distribución de la cual es incluida dentro de la región intermedia de luminancia, la luminancia de los píxeles es corregida de modo que la diferencia de luminancia será más pequeña después de la realización o aplicación de la ganancia.
