Abstract
Se divulga un sistema para criar agentes de control biológico (BCA por sus siglas en ingles) de insectos, que comprende su alimentación con nutrientes esencialmente derivados de huevos de insectos procesados (PIE pos sus siglas en inglés). Loa huecos de insectos pueden ser derivados como subproducto de mosca del mediterráneo criada para la técnica de insecto estéril (SIT por sus siglas en inglés) o cualquier otra especie apropiada, a los huevos pueden ser especialmente producidos para dicho fin. La presente invención también divulga un sistema para criar BCAs que comprende una mezcla de PIE y al menos otra dieta de insectos. También se proporciona una composición de dieta ficticia que comprende PIE apropiados para la provisión de nutrientes a un BCA y un método para la producción de pie a partir de suministros de huevos de insectos derivados de subproductos de programas de control de insectos tales como la SIT. También se divulga en la presente invención un método para la preparación de PIE para su almacenamiento a largo plazo y su distribución.
