Abstract
Se describe una celda de electrólisis (10) que comprende una fuente de voltaje de corriente directa (DC) (12) con terminales positiva y negativa (14, 16) hacia electrodos alternos (18) y (20) respectivamente. La fuente (12) produce un voltaje que realiza ciclos entre un voltaje mínimo Vmjn y un voltaje máximo Vmax, donde Vmjn = 0 voltios, y Vmax = Vmjn + , donde > 0 voltios. De este modo, el voltaje proporcionado por la fuente de corriente directa (12) está en la forma de una onda periódica que tiene un periodo T, y la frecuencia f. Ya que la fuente de voltaje (12) realiza ciclos en su voltaje desde Vmjn hasta Vmax, existe un pico intermedio VP1 entre Vmjn Y Vmax. Cuando el voltaje alcanza VP1, éste disminuye por un periodo de tiempo TP1, antes de elevarse nuevamente hasta el voltaje Vmax. El voltaje disminuye luego relativamente rápido hasta Vmin, completando un ciclo del periodo T.
