Abstract

Se divulgan aditivos de suelo capaces de hidrofilizar partículas de suelo y/o incrementar la capacidad de agua disponible en el suelo. El aditivo de suelo es capaz de incrementar el contenido/capacidad de agua disponible (AWC) en suelos, el aditivo en una modalidad comprende una composición de polímero que tiene una porción hidrofílica y una porción hidrofóbica, en donde la porción hidrofóbica del copolímero se une con la superficie de la partícula de suelo y la porción hidrofílica del copolímero puede unirse con agua. Esto da por resultado la prevención, detención o pérdida desacelerada de agua del área dirigida, por ejemplo la zona de raíz de la planta, lo cual permite la eficiencia de utilización de agua mejorada por plantas, hierbas, vegetación, etc.
