Abstract

Se divulgan soluciones acuosas de dióxido de cloro; las soluciones están prácticamente exentas de iones de metales de transición, óxidos de metales de transición y contaminantes particulados; las soluciones son estables en relación con la concentración del dióxido de cloro; las soluciones pueden contener dióxido de cloro en el intervalo de concentración de 100 ppm o más a cerca de 10,000 ppm, más preferiblemente alrededor de 1,000 ppm o más a cerca de 5,000 ppm e incluso más preferiblemente a alrededor de 2,000 ppm o más a cerca de 4,000 ppm y más preferiblemente alrededor de 3.000 ppm; preferentemente, las soluciones están sustancialmente libres de carbono orgánico y de iones de metal; se presentan métodos para preparar soluciones acuosas de dióxido de cloro que comprenden (1) purificar el agua por al menos dos métodos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en desionización, destilación, filtración con ósmosis inversa (RO), filtración con carbono, filtración microporosa, ultrafiltración, hiperíiltración, oxidación ultravioleta y electrodiálisis, y (2) disolver gas de de dióxido de cloro filtrado en el agua.
