Abstract

Se describe un óxido de grafeno altamente oxidado y métodos para la producción del mismo en varias modalidades de la presente exposición; en general, los métodos incluyen mezclar una fuente de grafito con una solución que contenga por lo menos un oxidante y por lo menos un agente de protección y oxidar luego la fuente de grafito por lo menos con un oxidante en presencia por lo menos de un agente de protección para formar el óxido de grafeno; el óxido de grafeno sintetizado mediante los métodos que se describen en la presente es de alta calidad estructural, que está más oxidado y mantiene una mayor proporción de anillos aromáticos y dominios aromáticos que el óxido de grafeno preparado en ausencia por lo menos de un agente de protección; se dan a conocer también en la presente métodos para la reducción del óxido de grafeno a grafeno químicamente convertido; el grafeno químicamente convertido de la presente exposición es significantemente más eléctricamente conductor que el grafeno químicamente convertido preparado a partir de otras fuentes de óxido de grafeno.
