Abstract

Se proporciona un dispositivo de visualización de imagen y un método de visualización de imagen, en donde es posible reducir el temor de que la calidad original de la imagen sea deteriorada mediante la supresión de la irregularidad de la brillantez o la irregularidad del color. La ocurrencia del fenómeno de halo provocado en una porción de panel de visualización es detectada en un dispositivo de pantalla de cristal líquido en el cual la imagen será visualizada en la porción de panel de visualización que incluye filtros de color de una pluralidad de colores al controlar, de manera individual, los respectivos porcentajes de emisión de una pluralidad de LEDs que emiten luz de colores que corresponden con los filtros de color sobre la porción de panel de visualización. En función de la detección, una parte de la porción de panel de visualización, por ejemplo, el número de canal (30), que es indicado como una imagen OSD y la proximidad (30A) de la misma son establecidos como el área sin detección en la cual la detección de la ocurrencia del fenómeno de halo es restringida y la porción restante es establecida como el área de detección. La saturación de la luz resultante de la pluralidad de LEDs, que se hará incidente sobre los filtros de color, es reducida al controlar los porcentajes de emisión de los LEDs en función del resultado de la detección en el área de detección, de modo que el color de la luz es más cercano al blanco.
