Abstract

Se expone un método para recuperar petróleo de pozos petroleros latentes o aumentar la producción de los pozos petroleros. Se introduce un carbonato alcalino o de alcalinotérreo en una capa de agua asociada con un depósito subterráneo de petróleo y/o se introduce una composición explosiva en una capa oleosa asociada con un depósito subterráneo de petróleo. Se produce gas de CO2 al hacer reaccionar el carbonato alcalino o alcalinotérreo con un ácido y/o al hacer detonar la composición explosiva. Una composición explosiva se puede introducir y hacer detonar hasta alcanzar la suficiente producción de gas de CO2 apara aumentar la presión dentro del depósito subterráneo de petróleo. La recuperación de petróleo se puede mejorar adicionalmente a través del uso de una o más técnicas para reducir la viscosidad del petróleo incluyendo someter a ultrasonido y radiación por microondas.
