Abstract

Un método par escanear una imagen retiniana que incluye: abastecer una fuente de luz; emitir radiación desde la fuente de luz hacia un divisor de haces; enfocar la radiación con una lente en la retina; recoger con una cámara la radiación reflejada por la retina; producir una señal de imagen representativa de una pluralidad de imágenes retinianas basada en la radiación recogida; seleccionar una imagen de la pluralidad de imágenes retinianas para su visualización desde la señal de imagen; visualizar la imagen retiniana seleccionada en una pantalla; comparar la imagen retiniana seleccionada con por lo menos una imagen de la pluralidad de imágenes retinianas almacenadas en una base de datos; seleccionar una imagen de la pluralidad de imágenes retinianas almacenadas en la base de datos que coincida con la imagen retiniana seleccionada, y visualizar en la pantalla la imagen retiniana que coincida a un lado de la imagen retiniana seleccionada.
