Abstract

Se prepara un polímero electrocrómico donador-aceptor (DA-ECP) soluble que absorbe la luz de por lo menos la mayor parte de la escala visible, y es esencialmente negro a la vista humana cuando se encuentra en estado neutro, pero es altamente transmisivo cuando se impurifica electroquímicamente; el polímero conjugado tiene unidades aceptoras separadas por secuencias de una pluralidad de unidades donadoras; las secuencias pueden estar monodispersas o polidispersas; el DA-ECP se prepara mediante la policondensación de una pluralidad de por lo menos un oligómero donador-aceptor (oligómero DA) que tiene por lo menos una unidad de repetición aceptora interna y por lo menos una unidad de repetición donadora en todos los extremos del oligómero, y opcionalmente una pluralidad de por lo menos un monómero donador u oligómero donador.
