Abstract

Composiciones y métodos para influir en la recuperación de un animal a partir de los efectos de actividad física intensa. Las composiciones comprenden por lo general aproximadamente 4% hasta 6% de carbohidrato de fácil absorción; aproximadamente 10% hasta 30% de maltodextrinas; aproximadamente 20% hasta 50% almidón, para un total de aproximadamente 40% hasta 80% de carbohidrato; aproximadamente 20% hasta aproximadamente 40% de proteína; y de manera opcional uno o más antioxidantes. Los métodos comprenden, de manera general, administrar la composición a un animal en un período desde aproximadamente 120 minutos antes del inicio de o 120 minutos después de la terminación de la actividad física.
