Abstract
La presente invención reside en una composición refractaria para su uso como una banda de escoria de arranque en frío. La composición comprende una combinación de circonio parcialmente estabilizado y/o circonio estabilizado por completo y circonio monoclínico, caracterizada porque la proporción de monoclínico en relación con el contenido total de circonio es por lo menos 40% en peso. La invención también reside en una banda de escoria formada a partir de la composición, una boquilla de entrada sumergida que incorpora la banda de escoria y un método para formar tal boquilla de entrada sumergida.
