Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones antimicrobianas tópicas para aplicación a la epidermis, por ejemplo, manos, brazos, piernas, cara, cuero cabelludo, así como también otras zonas corporales que se caracterizan por estar libres de jabones aniónicos convencionales y tensioactivos aniónicos convencionales, que de preferencia exhiben un pH ácido. Las composiciones exhiben una eficacia exterminadora de al menos 3 log, de preferencia una eficacia exterminadora de al menos 4 log a 60 segundos de tiempo de contacto de al menos dos, de preferencia al menos tres y con la máxima preferencia al menos cuatro microorganismos seleccionados del grupo que consiste de: S. aureus, E. coli, P. aeruginosa y E. hirae, de acuerdo con los protocolos conocidos en la técnica EN 12054 (Químicos Desinfectantes y Antisépticos - Prueba de Suspensión Cuantitativa para la Evaluación de la Actividad Antimicrobiana) EN1276 (Evaluación de la Actividad Bactericida en Suspensión - Método de Neutralización en Dilución) y EN 1499 (Químicos Desinfectantes y Antisépticos - Lavado Higiénico para Manos). La composición se puede proporcionar en formas sólidas, pastosas o en formas fluidas, aunque de preferencia ya están fluidas y en gran medida acuosas según y deseablemente exhiben un pH de 5-5.5. También se exponen los métodos para la elaboración de las composiciones antimicrobianas tópicas y los métodos para su uso.
