Abstract
Se describen sistemas y metodologías que facilitan la temporización de la sincronización entre nodos en una red de comunicación inalámbrica; un nodo inalámbrico de rastreo puede sincronizarse a una señal de sistema de posicionamiento global (GPS) en caso de estar disponible; de manera alternativa, el nodo inalámbrico de rastreo puede recibir métricas de calidad relacionadas con uno o más nodos objetivo; las métricas de calidad pueden relacionarse con parámetros que pueden ser utilizados para evaluar el nodo objetivo para sincronización de temporización; con base en las métricas de calidad, el nodo inalámbrico de rastreo puede seleccionar un nodo inalámbrico objetivo para sincronización de temporización; el nodo inalámbrico de rastreo posteriormente puede sincronizar la temporización con el nodo inalámbrico objetivo; además, el nodo inalámbrico de rastreo continuamente puede evaluar los nodos inalámbricos circundantes para detectar si otros nodos inalámbricos tienen métricas de calidad más elevada que los nodos inalámbricos objetivo actuales y, por consiguiente, pueden re-sincronizarse con nodos que tienen métricas superiores.
