The present invention relates to the oil industry in general, in particular it relates to the means, systems and fluid compositions used in the drilling of oil wells and more specifically refers to a composition of a fluid sea water high performance for the drilling of oil wells with highly hydratable and dispersible formations.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
During oil well drilling operations, it is important to consider the type of formation that will be drilled in order to use an adequate and optimal composition that allows for the best development and the best results. For example, there are tertiary formations that are highly hydratable and pressurized formations, tend, during drilling, to generate unstable holes in the holes (landslides), and also require higher penetration speeds during drilling.
In the drilling of the wells, by circulating the control fluid through the hole and being in contact with the formation, the hydration of the reactive shale is promoted, with the consequent destabilization of the walls of the well, due to landslides, (lynching) and / or fractures, which has become necessary the use of systems that inhibit the dispersion and hydration of shales.
Nowadays, inverse emulsion oil base or diesel base fluid compositions are well known which are highly polluting fluid compositions for the environment, which also cause high operating costs, affect the performance of the drilling equipment, the operation is affected cleaning.
Faced with this situation, new formulations of drilling fluids are necessary to solve the described drawbacks and provide greater operational, management and cost advantages.

Another objective of the invention is to allow said novel composition of a seawater-based fluid for drilling oil wells in highly hydratable and dispersible formations, which is also a solids-free composition and allows to replace fluids employing highly contaminating inverse emulsions.
Another objective of the invention is to allow said novel composition of a seawater-based fluid for drilling oil wells in highly hydratable and dispersible formations, which also has excellent theological properties suitable for cleaning, hole stability and inhibition of formation.
Still another object of the invention is to allow said novel composition of a seawater base fluid for the drilling of oil wells in highly hydratable and dispersible formations, which also allows an excellent carry and good suspension of the cuttings towards the surface or towards the zone of loss of circulation.
Still another object of the invention is to allow said novel composition of a seawater base fluid for the drilling of oil wells in highly hydratable and dispersible formations, which also employs biodegradable products that make it environmentally friendly.
And all those qualities and objectives that will become apparent when making a general and detailed description of the present invention supported by the illustrated modalities.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The high performance seawater base fluid composition for drilling oil wells with highly hydratable and dispersible formations, is a high performance seawater base fluid, which is used for drilling oil wells, with highly hydratable formations, dispersible, allows at the same time to have a high penetration rate, in holes with directional characteristics, deviated from high angle, with instability of the hole and with difficulties of cleaning the well.
The fluid is composed of organic chemical inhibitors and salts to control the swelling of clays using organic inhibitory molecules in the fluids of the surface of the clay where they compete with the water molecules for the reactive sites of the clays and therefore serve to reduce the swelling of the clay.
The composition has products that are biopolymers that allow to have excellent reo logical values; the composition is based on determining by means of a rotational viscometer, the theological and thixotropic properties to a fluid under given conditions, which must be maintained in an adequate range, to optimize the cleanliness of the well being drilled. Stability refers to having an excellent inhibition of formation using inhibitors based on amines or glycols; the formations that are inhibited are clays and shales.
The high performance seawater base fluid composition for drilling oil wells with highly hydratable and dispersible formations, is a fluid that is designed for the following:
as a continuous phase it uses seawater
uses a high purity biopolymer as an organic rheology modifier.
It uses a polyanionic cellulose of the regular grade (IMPAC-R / L) as a filtration reducer, it was designed with a greater degree of substitution to obtain better quality of the product and that allows to obtain an excellent enjarre and that of mechanical inhibition.
· A mechanical stabilizer is used that reinforces the quality of the filtrate with a polymer derived from polyester complexes used as filter control agent and rheological modifier, used for high temperature, which allows to control the thermal effect on the system.
· A chemical inhibitor is used that is different from conventional ones based on glycols miscible in water-based fluids and systems with up to 100,000 mg / l salinities, due to its relatively high fog point, which allows a high yield of this the formation.
· Use the potassium chloride salt as an inhibitor.
Caustic soda is added to give alkalinity to the system and precipitate magnesium.
ASH soda allows to precipitate calcium from seawater, and for polymers to react and optimize their performance.
· Use shale inhibitor of the mechanical type based on polyacrylamides to improve the inhibition of the system,
also uses a thermal stabilizer
It is a seawater-based composition as continuous phase which in its formulation comprises: at least one alkalizing element, pH controller and magnesium precipitator, preferably caustic soda; at least one organic modifier of Theological properties consisting of a high purity biopolymer, preferably Xanthan gum; at least one calcium sequestrant, preferably sodium carbonate (soda ASH); clay inhibitors; fluid loss controllers; at least one mechanical stabilizer of the hole; at least one penetration speed improver; a thermal stability extender; a sealant and densifier and at least one disinfectant, preferably barite.
Said composition comprises quantitatively the following values for 1 m 3 of fluid:

To lower the Theological properties, the concentration of biopolymer can be reduced, or a deflocculant can be added, or water can be added to make dilution.
The use of all available solids control equipment should be optimized to minimize the solids content, thus reducing dilution.
Replenish the concentration of polymers by consumption in the solids processed by the solid control units.
During oil well drilling operations, when the control fluid is circulated through the hole and in contact with the formation, the hydration of the reactive shales is promoted, with the consequent destabilization of the well walls, due to landslides, swelling and / or fractures so it has become necessary to use systems that inhibit the dispersion and hydration of shales.
The preparation or manufacture of the fluid is done with the addition of the products, having an order of addition to obtain a better performance of the materials.
This composition of high performance sea water base fluid requires maintenance, according to the needs that arise during the drilling of the well.
In this way, the composition of the fluid offers environmental advantages, minimizing costs and damages due to being clean fluids.
This fluid is a saltwater based polymeric fluid, which replaces diesel base fluids, lowering costs and preventing contamination.
It provides excellent inhibition of clays, specially designed to drill highly reactive formations, of the characteristics of Jumbo, protects the dispersibility of solids. It also protects the microfractures by the ability to seal the fluid.
Provides optimal cleaning conditions. The concentrations and the products used by this system provide excellent rheological values that give an optimal cleaning and suspension of the cuts.
Increase in penetration speed. Due to the cleaning characteristic provided by the system, the low content of solids incorporated into the system gives a better hydraulics, allowing an increase in the speed of penetration.
Costs reduction. This system, based on seawater, is an alternative for the reverse emulsion fluid, therefore avoiding the consumption of diesel, drilling water and also the expense of logistics support vessels to transport these fluids.
It is a non-polluting fluid, it replaces the inverse emulsion fluid that is highly polluting, because it is prepared with diesel.
The advantages that were obtained giving a better performance were: to perforate zones with high hydration and dispersion of clays.
improve the cleanliness of the directed holes and with high angle.
drill wells with instability problems.
It can be handled with densities of 1.80 gr / cc.
It is a solids free system.
replace the reverse emulsion fluids.
