Abstract
De acuerdo con la presente invención, se proporciona una composición nutritiva, un método para mejorar el desarrollo del sistema inmunitario en un infante, y un método para reducir las respuestas inflamatorias alérgicas en un infante. La composición nutritiva comprende una fuente de proteína, una fuente de grasa, una fuente de carbohidratos, ácido ruménico, DHA, y al menos un gangliósido. Ambos métodos comprenden la administración al infante de una combinación de ácido ruménico, DHA, y al menos un gangliásido.
