Abstract
Un aparato para tratar térmicamente una pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas; el aparato incluye un transportador para transferir la pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas de una fuente de agujas de sutura curvas a un receptor, un alojamiento posicionado adyacentemente a transportador, el alojamiento teniendo un primer extremo, un segundo extremo y una abertura que se extiende del primer extremo al segundo extremo, la abertura estando alineada con el transportador para hacer posible que la pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas pasen a través de la misma, y una fuente de calor ubicada dentro del alojamiento para calentar la pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas, conforme la pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas son transferidas por el transportador del primer extremo del alojamiento al segundo extremo del alojamiento; se provee también un procedimiento para tratar térmicamente una pluralidad de agujas de sutura curvas para realzar la rigidez y el momento de cedencia de las agujas de sutura curvas; las agujas de sutura curvas así tratadas tienen una combinación conveniente de rigidez, resistencia y ductibilidad.
