Abstract
Una celda fotovoltaica para convertir una fuente de luz en electricidad, que incluye: una pared de celda por lo menos parcialmente transparente que tienen una superficie interior; un electrolito, dispuesto dentro de la pared de celda, conteniendo una especie de oxidación-reducción; un recubrimiento conductor por lo menos parcialmente transparente dispuesto sobre la superficie interior; un ánodo adaptado para convertir fotones a electrones que incluye: una película de titania porosa dispuesta sobre el recubrimiento conductor, y adaptado para hacer contacto con la especie de oxidación-reducción, la película tiene una pluralidad de áreas continuas separadas por espacios dispuestos a lo largo de una longitud de la película, y un colorante, absorbido sobre una superficie de la película; un cátodo dispuesto opuesto al ánodo, para efectuar una comunicación electrolítica, vía el electrolito, con la película porosa, y por lo menos dos estructuras conductoras, dispuestas dentro de los espacios, conectadas eléctricamente al ánodo y la recubrimiento conductor, y en contacto con la película, cada estructura incluye un elemento estructural eléctricamente conductor, cubierto por una capa de cerámica eléctricamente conductora, cada estructura sobresale por arriba de la superficie superior de la película prosa por al menos 50 micras, y en donde, sobre toda una anchura de la palícula, el espesor de la película está en 15 micras y/o 50% del espesor nominal de la película.
