Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con el campo del desarrollo de plantas y la resistencia a enfermedades; más específicamente, en la presente invención se incluye un método para desarrollar plantas de maíz que contienen loci de caracteres cuantitativos que están asociados con la resistencia a la pudrición de las mazorcas causada por diplodia (DER), una enfermedad fúngica asociada con Stenocarpella spp.; además, en la invención se incluye germoplasma y el uso de germoplasma que contiene loci de caracteres cuantitativos (QTL) que confieren resistencia a la introducción en el germoplasma elite, en un programa de desarrollo para conferir resistencia a la DER.
