Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un circuito de control de factor de potencia (10) y con un suministro de energía de red eléctrica universal (100). El circuito de control de factor de potencia (10) comprende nodos de entrada (n1, n2) que reciben un voltaje de entrada rectificado el cual es un voltaje de entrada de red eléctrica rectificado, y un circuito excitador (IC1) el cual excita un interruptor (M1). Una disposición en serie del interruptor y un inductor (L1) se disponen entre los nodos de entrada. Una disposición en serie de un rectificador (D1) y un capacitor de salida (C2) está dispuesta en paralelo con el inductor (L1). El rectificador no es conductor cuando el interruptor está cerrado. El circuito excitador excita al interruptor para generar una corriente sustancialmente sinusoidal a través del interruptor que está siendo sustancialmente sincronizado con un voltaje sinusoidal del voltaje de entrada de red eléctrica. Debido a la disposición del capacitor de salida en el circuito de control de factor de potencia de conformidad con la invención, el capacitor de salida solo puede cargarse después de un primer ciclo de conducción del interruptor. Un efecto de esta disposición es que no puede ocurrir una corriente de entrada hasta después del primer ciclo de conducción del interruptor lo cual mejora la confiabilidad del circuito de control de factor de potencia de conformidad con la invención.
