Abstract

Un método para la producción de un producto hidrolizado, estéril, desnaturalizado a partir de material orgánico infeccioso de desecho que incluye (a) introducir, en un reactor capaz de ser calentado y presurizado, material orgánico infeccioso de desecho para formar una mezcla de reacción; (b) someter la mezcla de reacción a vapor saturado a una temperatura y presión dentro del reactor por una duración de tiempo suficiente para hidrolizar y desnaturalizar térmicamente la mezcla de reacción en un lodo desnaturalizado; y (c) alternativamente (1) digerir anaeróbicamente el lodo desnaturalizado, o (2) fraccionar el lodo desnaturalizado con base en el peso molecular, densidad y tamaño en por lo menos dos productos hidrolizados, estériles, desnaturalizados; los productos hidrolizados, estériles resultantes tienen propiedades nutricionales valiosas y pueden usarse en una amplia variedad de productos o procedimientos comerciales, agrícolas, e industriales.
