Abstract
Se proporciona un códec de audio y diálogo escalable que ejecuta codificación de espectro de combinación; una señal residual es obtenida de una capa de codificación basada en Predicción Lineal Excitada por Código (CELP), donde la señal residual es una diferencia entre una señal de audio original y una versión reconstruida de la señal de audio original; la señal residual es transformada en una capa de transformada de tipo Transformada de Coseno Discreta (DCT) para obtener un espectro de transformada correspondiente que tenga una pluralidad de líneas espectrales; las líneas espectrales del espectro de transformada son transformadas utilizando una técnica de codificación de posición de combinación; la técnica de codificación de posición de combinación incluye generar un índice lexicográfico para un sub-conjunto seleccionado de líneas espectrales, donde cada índice lexicográfico representa una de una pluralidad de posibles secuencias binarias que representan las posiciones del subconjunto seleccionado de líneas espectrales; el índice lexicográfico representa líneas espectrales no cero en una secuencia binaria en menos bits que la longitud de la secuencia binaria.
