Abstract
Un proceso para iniciar un catalizador de óxido de etileno altamente selectivo es proporcionado en el cual el catalizador de óxido de etileno altamente selectivo es operado primeramente como catalizador con base en AG "estándar" (por ejemplo un catalizador que contienen solamente plata y metal alcalino, especialmente cesio). Además, el procedimiento de la iniciación inventiva es más eficiente cuando la concentración de dióxido de carbono en la alimentación es más alto a 6 vol. % y aún más eficiente cuando la concentración de dióxido de carbono en la alimentación es más alta a 1Ovol. % de la mezcla de alimentación durante el periodo de iniciación.
