Abstract
En un sistema y un método para controlar la longitud de un segmento discreto de un tejido elástico, una tensión de desenrollado del tejido es determinada durante el desenrollado del rollo enrollado. El tejido desenrollado es entregado a una estación de procesamiento mientras que se mantiene en tensión. Un segmento discreto del tejido es transportado hacia fuera de la estación de procesamiento por lo menos por un tiempo t en donde el segmento discreto disminuye en longitud a una longitud recuperada. La longitud recuperada es predecida con base en por lo menos en parte sobre la tensión de desenrollado y en respuesta a la longitud recuperada predecida, por lo menos uno de los siguientes es controlado: 1) la velocidad a la cual el tejido es entregado a la estación de procesamiento, 2) la tensión en el tejido continuo al ser éste entregado a la estación de procesamiento y 3) la longitud del segmento discreto en la estación de procesamiento.
