Abstract

Se describe un formato de respaldo común de un objeto de derechos de respaldo de acuerdo con modalidades de la presente invención que tiene los siguientes elementos: la información de licencia que no es crítica para la seguridad criptográfica del objeto de derechos es mantenida en "texto pleno" con una sintaxis bien definida en un primer contenedor de datos (302), la información de licencia que es crítica para la seguridad criptográfica del objeto de derechos es guardada en forma protegida criptográficamente que es específica para el dispositivo de origen al cual el objeto de derechos está enlazado en un segundo contenedor de datos (304) y el objeto de derechos es firmado criptográficamente por el dispositivo de origen, de tal manera que no puede ser manipulado. La firma es guardada en un tercer contenedor de datos.
