Abstract
Se describe un conector y método para terminar un cable que comprende pares retorcidos de conductores. Una desventaja mayor del arte previo es que, como el punto inserción de los conductores individuales en los conectores está configurado a lo largo de una línea paralela, pueden presentarse reticulación indeseada y similares, reduciendo de esta manera el desempeño del conector, especialmente a frecuencias altas. Por otro lado, la separación entre los conectores de un par retorcido no se mantiene rigurosamente. En un aspecto de la invención el conector (10) comprende una guía conductora de alambre (16) para organizar los pares retorcidos de conductores (70) y una pluralidad de contactos penetrantes (40) que se interconectan con los respectivos pares retorcidos de conductores cuando la guía de alambre se asegura al módulo. En un aspecto adicional de la invención, la guía conductora de alambre se asegura al módulo. En un aspecto adicional de la invención, la guía conductora de alambre (16) asegura que el espaciado entre los conductores de un par retorcido particular (70) se mantiene, por ello se mejora el desempeño del ensamble posterior.
