Abstract

Métodos y aparatos para conmutación de canal de RF en una red de multi-frecuencia. En un aspecto, un método incluye identificar un conjunto de multiplexión que comprende uno o más flujos de contenido, donde el conjunto de multiplexión es uno de un conjunto de multiplexión vertical (VM) y un conjunto de multiplexión unificado (UM) generar un mensaje suplementario que asocia una o más frecuencias transportadoras de RF con uno o más flujos de contenido, y transmitir el mensaje suplementario sobre la red de multi-frecuencia. Un aparato incluye lógica de entrada configurada para recibir mensaje suplementario que asocia uno o más flujos de contenido con una o más frecuencias portadoras de RF, y lógica de procesamiento configurada para detectar un evento de conmutación de canal que identifica un flujo de contenido seleccionado, determinar una frecuencia portadora de RF seleccionada asociada con el flujo de contenido seleccionado basándose en el mensaje suplementario, y conmutar a la frecuencia portadora de RF seleccionada para recibir el flujo de contenido seleccionado.
