Abstract

Se describe un sistema de producción de poliéster que emplea un reactor de esterificación verticalmente alargado. El reactor de esterificación de la presente invención es una mejora sobre los reactores de esterificación CSTR convencionales debido a que, por ejemplo, en una modalidad, el reactor requiere poca o nada de agitación mecánica. Además, en una modalidad, el posicionamiento de las entradas y salidas del reactor proporciona desempeño y flexibilidad operacional mejorados sobre los CSTRs de la técnica previa.
