Abstract

Un proceso para la elaboración de un compatibilizador de copolímero en bloque comprende hacer reaccionar un monómero acrílico y/o vinílico que tiene grupos funcionales con uno o varios monómeros vinílicos en presencia de un indicador de radicales libres y un radical libre estable para formar un producto de reacción que incluyen monómero acrílico y/o vinílico sin reaccionar residual, y hacer reaccionar uno o varios monómeros vinílicos con el producto de reacción para formar un segundo bloque que incorpora el monómero acrílico sin reaccionar residual. El copolímero en bloque se usa para compatibilizar un material de nanocompuestos de arcilla con una resina termoplástica o de termoendurecimiento. El copolímero en bloque se puede usar con las arcillas existentes disponibles en el comercio, o el copolímero en bloque se puede formar con un bloque polar quesea miscible en un medio de dispersión polar para usarse como un intercalado en la producción de un material de nanocompuestos de arcilla.
