Abstract
La separación de tres fases es conseguida en el fondo del pozo en un pozo de extracción mediante la formación de una zona de separación de petróleo/líquido en el pozo entre dos obturadores que son situados entre las zonas de extracción y descarga. Se permite que el gas se separe por encima del obturador superior. Una bomba es utilizada para bombear una mezcla de petróleo/agua por encima del obturador superior hacia la zona de separación. El tiempo adecuado de residencia es permitido en la zona de separación para conseguir la separación. Una válvula de retención en el obturador inferior es utilizada para proporcionar presión que eleve el petróleo hacia la boca de pozo. Una válvula de control en la boca de pozo es utilizada para regular la presión en la zona de separación y los tamaños relativos de los flujos que se originan en la misma.
