Abstract
Se encontró que una planta transformada en la que se ha introducido un gen y-glutamilcisteín sintetasa es incremetnada en al menos uno de entre el número de flores y el número de semillas en comparación con una planta tipo silvestre, y es por tanto incrementada en el rendimiento de semillas. Con base en estos descubrimientos, la presente invención elucida la función de un producto de un gen y-glutamilcisteín sintetasa derivado de planta y proveé una técnica para producir una planta que tiene un rendimiento de semillas incrementado.
