Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para producir biomasa y proteínas de microalgas, ventajosamente usando como una fuente de desarrollo de dicha microalga los desperdicios de la industria del alcohol, notablemente de las cascarillas de caña de azúcar y del dióxido de carbono que se origina de las cubas de fermentación. El proceso de acuerdo a la presente invención comprende los pasos básicos de la preparación de cascarillas de caña, la adaptación y preparación del inóculo con la microalga espirulina platensis OF 25, el cultivo de la microalga bajo condiciones controladas y el uso de CO2, la separación de la biomasa de algas y la recirculación opcional de la fase de agua y el proceso hasta que son alcanzados los niveles DQO y DBO aceptables por los reglamentos ambientales.
