Abstract

Un método para reducir la emisión de gases de invernadero, tal como por ejemplo dióxido de carbono, dentro de la atmósfera arriba de una superficie sobre la tierra, el método comprende inyectar una corriente de gas que comprende uno ó más de un gas de invernadero adentro de una formación de inyección subterranea, en donde la formación de inyección de subterranea comprende una capa cargada de agua que comprende agua de formación, y en donde todos ó algunos de los gases de invernadero presentes en la corriente de gas se disuelven en el agua de formación en la formación de inyección de subterranea, secuestrando el uno ó más de los gases de invernadero en la formación de inyección de subterranea y por tanto reduciendo la emisión de gases de invernadero dentro de la atmósfera.
