Un copolímero de fórmula 1 en la cual M1 es una unidad obtenible a partir de polimerización de intercambio de abertura de anillo (ROMP); R es una unidad de alquilo, éter, éster o arilo; M2 y M3 son seleccionados independientemente de unidades obtenibles mediante polimerización de transferencia de cadena de fragmentación de adición reversible (RAFT); X es una unidad terminal seleccionada del grupo que consiste de ditioéster, tritiocarbonato, xantato; y m es un entero desde 2 hasta 1 millón, n es un entero desde 2 hasta 500,000 y k es un entero desde 2 hasta 500,000.
