Abstract

Un método para proteger un documento de seguridad de la falsificación incluye aplicar por lo menos un elemento de seguridad que contiene un patrón de Fourier oculto al documento. El patrón de Fourier oculto se produce de un perfil de Fourier maestro, y se aplica al documento mediante estampado en relieve, grabado, ablación con láser o grabado químico, y/o mediante un cilindro o placa que lleva el perfil de Fourier maestro. Cuando un documento de seguridad falso producido sin el conocimiento del perfil de Fourier maestro es explorado o formado en imagen y sometido a una transformadora de Fourier, el patrón de Fourier de prueba resultante diferirá de un patrón de Fourier maestro correspondiente al perfil de Fourier maestro para el documento de seguridad auténtico. En una modalidad particularmente preferida, el patrón de Fourier oculto se aplica al documento mediante impresión de rotograbado.
