Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un método de operación para un atomizador (1) para el recubrimiento de componentes estructurales, particularmente de piezas de carrocería automotriz, con las etapas que siguen: Aplicación de un chorro a presión de un agente de recubrimiento a través del atomizador (1); descarga de un primer flujo de aire guía (11) para la formación de un chorro a presión; la determinación de al menos un parámetro de aplicación (?, ?, T, BC/CC, Qvarnish, n, U) que reproduce una propiedad (?, ?, T, BC/CC) del agente de recubrimiento aplicado o una variable de funcionamiento (Qvarnish, n, U) del atomizador (1) así como influir sobre el primer flujo de aire guía (11) como factor del parámetro de aplicación (?, ?, T, BC/CC, Qvarnish, n, U). Dentro del marco de la invención, hay opción alternativa de que las fluctuaciones de los parámetros de aplicación y, basandose en eso, las variaciones de la anchura del chorro a presión, sean consideradas por medio de una adaptación de la separación del trayecto (d) entre los trayectos adyacentes del agente de recubrimiento para el propósito de mantener constante el traslapo del trayecto. Más aún, la invención comprende un aparato de recubrimiento correspondiente.
