Abstract

Se da una descripción de dispersiones acuosas de éster polivinílico que comprenden a) por lo menos un copolímero de éster vinílico derivado de por lo menos un éster vinílico de un ácido monocarboxílico, por lo menos un monómero etilénicamente insaturado que contiene grupos N-alquilol y/o derivados de gruidos N-alquilol y, si se desea, comonómeros adicionales, b) por lo menos un coloide protector, c) por lo menos un ácido carboxílico y/o sal del mismo, que contiene por lo menos un radical adicional seleccionado del grupo que consiste de radicales hidroxilo, amino, carboxilo, éster carboxílico y amida carboxílica, y d) por lo menos una sal soluble en agua con un ión de metal divalente; estas dispersiones son especialmente adecuadas para unir adhesivamente sustratos porosos o semiporosos, tales como madera; se pueden producir uniones adhesivas altamente fuertes y de alta resistencia al agua que no presenten decoloración; las dispersiones se pueden usar muy particularmente como adhesivos de chapas.
