Abstract

Se proporciona una composición que comprende una capa absorbente de luz adherida a una capa subyacente que contiene un colorante fotocrómico, colorante fotocrómico el cual ha sido activado por exposición a la luz UV para experimentar un cambio de color reversible, y donde la velocidad de reversión de color depende de la temperatura. La capa absorbente de luz ultravioleta y/o luz visible puede ser aplicada convenientemente vía transferencia térmica o chorro de tinta a un sustrato que comprende el colorante fotocrómico para proteger éste contra la exposición indeseable a la UV y/o ciertas longitudes de onda de luz visible. La composición es empleada convenientemente en un indicador de temperatura y tiempo (TTI).
