Abstract

This invention describes a mobile device and interactive universal classification method for meat using computer vision comprising a roller cabinet with touchscreen, a processing system, an image capture pistol with digital camera, a lighting system with high-efficiency LEDs and light-conditioning plate; a set of bayonet-style pH and temperature sensors; in which by placing the pistol on the meat, the user triggers the digital system activating the lighting, the light of which is dimmed and filtered, activates the camera, captures an image of the meat, analyses and displays the image on the screen, enables the operator to correct the image and provides numerical digits of areas, percentages and coloration grading of each tissue, revealing the internal acidity and temperature of the meat when using the sensors, recording the readings in a database. The objective of this invention is to provide a device that makes it possible to measure the different characteristics of the meat using co mputer vision objectively so that the meat industry has a reliable tool for classifying meat products and monitoring processes in slaughterhouses.
