Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel design for a pallet for containing and transporting various products from the point of production to the point of sale. The advantage offered by this pallet design is that said pallet provides the necessary means for coupling a vertical profile section at each one of the corners, which means are in turn connected by an upper frame, and therefore there is no need whatsoever to change the product pallet in the course of the journey from factory to point of sale since fastening of the vertical profile sections to the pallet together with the upper frame provide the product with the necessary protection and stability to be transported. One of the most important parts of the present invention is the corner chocks, which are arranged at each one of the corners of the pallet and have an angular cut that functions together with a securing jacket coupled to the corner chock in order to form a hollow of the size required to receive the vertical profile s ections and to hold the latter stably and securely throughout the entire journey of the product. There are likewise other chocks that, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, are arranged in the form of a cross and the function of which, together with the corner chocks, is that of supporting the weight of the product and lending stability to the pallet structure. One of the advantages of the chocks is that, in one embodiment of the invention, they may be produced from recycled materials, such as used tyres.
