Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una membrana híbrida orgánica-inorgánica microporosa, hidrotérmicamente estable, basada en sílice, que tiene un diámetro de poro medio de entre 0.2 y 1.5 mm, se caracteriza en que entre 5 y 40% mole de los enlaces Si-O-Si han sido reemplazados por porciones que tienen una de las fórmulas Si-{[CmH(n-1)X]-Si-}q, Si-[CmH(n-2)X2]-Si o Si-CmHn-Si{(CmHn)-Si-}y en la cual m = 1-8, n = 2m, 2m-2, 2m-4, 2m-6 o 2m-8; siempre que n ( 2, X = H o (CH2)pSi, p = 0 o 1, y q = 1, 2, 3 o 4. La membrana puede ser producida por hidrólisis catalizada por ácido de precursores de bis-silano tales como bis(trialcoxisili)alcanos, preferiblemente en la presencia de precursores de monoorganil-silano tales como trialcoxi-alquilsilan os.
