Abstract

La presente invención proporciona composiciones de polvo de poliéster termoestable o de polvo acrílico que contiene epoxia que comprenden uno o más aductos de agentes de curado de un poliéster, preferentemente un poliéster lineal, en donde cuando dicho aducto de agente de curado comprende un aducto de uno o más compuestos de poliepoxia, dicho compuesto de poliepoxia tiene un promedio de 2.01 o más grupos epoxia por molécula. Las composiciones proporcionan revestimientos películas y material de recubrimiento flexibles que tienen resistencia al impacto mejorada, especialmente para utilizarse en aplicaciones automotrices y de arquitectura. Para mejorar la resistencia al impacto de los revestimientos y películas proporcionados mediante esto, las composiciones comprenden aductos de agente de curado de uno o más compuestos de poliepoxia seleccionados de triglicidil isocianurato (TGIC) y triglicidil trimelitato con un poliéster carboxilo funcional que tiene un peso equivalente de carboxilo de 602 o más. Además, para mejorar adicionalmente la resistencia al impacto de los revestimientos y películas proporcionados mediante esto, las composiciones pueden comprender uno o más agentes de curado auxiliares, tales como gliclolurilo, una resina aminoplástica o un isocianato bloqueado.
