Abstract
La presente invención trata de un novedoso polvo insoluble de plantas del genero agave spp caracterizado porque comprende: fibra dietética insoluble de la piña del agave, Azucares totales, Calcio, Proteína vegetal, grasa, Sodio, zinc, ceniza y otros minerales. La invención también trata de un método para obtener dicho polvo y pasa por las siguientes etapas: 1.- Extraer piñas del agave de la tierra. 2.- Cortar las pencas, dejando la piña sola. 3.- Cocer dichas piñas en un horno de ladrillos con vapor o en autoclave por un periodo de entre 24 y 48 hrs. 4.- Extraer jugo de las piñas cocidas y separar el bagazo resultante. 5.- Secar el bagazo resultante al sol durante 24 hrs. 6.- Moler el bagazo secuencialmente hasta reducirlo en un polvo muy fino preferentemente entre 0.5 a 10 micras. 7.- Sanitizar el polvo de agave con gas oxido de etileno para reducir las cuentas microbianas y así obtener un producto apto para su consumo.??.
